Do you offer online and in-person therapy?
Currently I am offering online therapy for all California residents. However, when this changes, I will let all my clients know.
Do you take insurance? Why or Why not?
I do not take insurance! Anymore…
Therapy is an experience I believe everyone should have.
Health care insurance requires me to provide a medical mental health diagnosis, along with specific dates and length of your sessions. I’m not about labels, and I also don’t believe your therapy experience should get in the way of any of your life benefits and endeavors.
However, upon your request, I would be happy to give you a superbill for you to present to your PPO insurance for reimbursement and/or if you are using a health care spending plan through work. But this is only at your request.
How do I set up an initial appointment with you?
Calling me at (626) 625-5234 would be great. I will return your call the same day.
Clicking the Schedule an Appointment button below will also allow you to directly schedule an initial free consultation, and I will call you about the date and time you choose.
What is your cancellation policy?
Currently, my cancellation policy is that you will have 48 hours before your session to cancel. In the event you do not cancel within that time, you will be charged the full session fee. Any cancellations before that window will not assess a charge.
If you are running late, a text message would be appreciated – and there’s no penalty for that. Life happens.
What age ranges do you work with?
Do you work with Men, Women, Couples, LGBTQ?
What is a session actually like with you?
What modalities do you use?
I use an in-depth analytical approach which falls under the Jungian Theory that focuses on helping you become whole and balanced.
I also apply an attachment-based approach when discussing your relationship patterns and need for connection with others.
Along with these, I apply alternative modalities, such as The Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy when working with couples.
What else do I need to know to make the most out of working with you?
Should I be scared?
LOL, I guess the above question could spark some fear. Yes, be afraid… be very afraid… The only thing to be scared of is the unknown of what it’s going to be like when you start to see things with more clarity and when you begin to feel more confident.
Change is scary, but this change is amazing. So, yes, it’s scary to venture into – but no – the process of therapy isn’t scary. You’ll be nervous; but together, we’ll work through that.
Are you going to bombard me with a lot of paperwork?
What brand of tissue do you have?
LOL, I absolutely love that you are asking me this question. It tells me that you aren’t afraid to cry. In fact, you’ re anticipating it. That’s amazing! Crying is a release. Just as getting out all your emotions is relieving; crying is a way for you to get that same relief.
I have the Kleenex brand. Soft, with lotion! I’ll even have a place for you to throw your used ones away, so you don’t have to stuff them in your pocket or bag. I’ve got you covered!
Do I only have to come once a week?
Nope. There may be times when we begin to uncover some things that are heavier than others. Or you may be going through a tougher period than at other times, and you may feel like you need some extra support.
I’m here to support you. I keep specific time slots available for those clients who could benefit from twice weekly or more sessions a week. I’ve got you covered!
When is my first appointment?
As soon as you click below and complete the contact information, we can get you set up as soon as possible.
Why am I still reading FAQ questions?
